A deep thread reduced shank wood screw that features a Round Washer Head, a Square Drive, and a type 17 chip cavity (also called an Auger Point) at its tip. The deeper threads allow for higher pullout resistance and the Type 17 point allows for easier chip evacuation, making the screw easier to start. The square drive, also called a Robertson provides for a high degree of cam out resistance. The round washer head provides a larger bearing surface than pan head or countersunk screws, which allows it to pull objects together with superior force. Especially useful in softer woods.
