A deep thread reduced shank wood screw that features a head that is undercut to approximately 70% of its typical height and a Type 17 chip cavity at the tip of the screw. The lower head profile created by the undercut is ideal for situations requiring shorter length fasteners. The deep, spaced threads produce high pullout resistance and the type 17 Point, also called an auger point, allows the screw to start faster, especially in denser woods. This screw is commonly used in cabinetry.
