A deep thread reduced shank wood screw that features 4 nibs under the head and a Double Type 17 chip cavity at the tip, which is also called an auger point. The double type 17 point has 2 chip cavities, one at the tip of the screw, and the other right above it, but set on the opposite side of the shaft. The deep, spaced threads produce high pullout resistance, the nibs under the head assist the screw in countersinking completely into the wood, and the double type 17 Point allows for extra wood chip removal. This scews also features a Square-Phillips Combo drive, commonly called a quadrex drive, that allows it to accept both square and phillips bits. This screw is commonly used in cabinetry.
